Gallerie V
A flagship independent gallery, Gallerie has exhibited over young 250 artists across 24 exhibitions over a five-year period. Based in Cambridge, the gallery was established as a youth-focused initiative dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and educating young people, while showcasing emerging artistic talent from diverse backgrounds across the UK.
It offers a professional platform for young creatives to present their work, gain meaningful exposure, and build confidence in their artistic practice. In selected and curated exhibitions, artists exhibited their work, enabling access to public audiences that may otherwise have been unattainable.
Gallerie V was fully funded by the De Reus Foundation, with a commitment to making art accessible to both local communities and visiting audiences through free-entry exhibitions.
Public engagement was further strengthened through the development of a highly successful volunteer programme, bringing together like-minded individuals motivated by a shared sense of purpose and community contribution. Drawing inspiration and creativity from young artists across the UK, annual competitions were held and winning artworks exhibited in the gallery.
Gallerie V displays works from young people between the ages of 14-25. It has also supported and partnered with schools, universities and charities, including Cambridge University, Anglia Ruskin University, The Leys School, Chesterton College, Centre 33, Fitzwilliam Museum (shortlisted for Art Fund's Museum of the Year award 2026) and Kettle's Yard.

DE REUS FOUNDATION ART PRIZE
De Reus Foundation Art Prize celebrated it's successful launch in 2025, with hundreds of entries received. 1st and 2nd place were awarded monetary prizes and both artists' winning pieces were exhibited.

JUNE 2021 - ARU STUDENTS
Better Late Than Never
The gallery opened its doors in May 2021 and shortly after, the 'Better Late than Never' exhibition presented an opportunity for Anglia Ruskin students to hold their long awaited End Of Year Show, which the university had to cancel due to the COVID crisis. This allowed the students to fulfil their ever important finale to their Art Degree and to showcase their work after what was a very difficult period for so many people.
IN RESPONSE TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE
Voices of Children
In response to the war in Ukraine, an auction style exhibition took place in support of the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation to support children who had been affected. Ukrainian artists donated artworks for the exhibition.
2024 - AS SEEN ON ITV & BBC NEWS
Through the eyes of Young Carers
As seen on ITV and BBC News, in 2024 Gallerie V hosted an exhibition created by young carers to raise awareness of situations they face on a daily basis and the vital role of Centre 33. The exhibition was such a success it was extended due to the high levels of interest and the impact it had. This opportunity gave a voice to those who "go under the radar". De Reus Foundation provided invaluable support for this event.
CAVENDISH LABORATORY - DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS
Logan Dandridge - Q&A and Film Screening
In partnership with Cavendish Laboratory Department of Physics, Gallerie V hosted Logan Dandridge Cavendish Arts Science Q&A & Film Screening. Logan Dandridge (Assistant Professor of Film at Syracuse University, USA) was the first artist to be selected for the Cavendish Arts Science Fellowship at Girton College. His works showed his concerns with the relationships between the precarious nature of memory, sacred music, self-making and diaspora. His films focus on personal and subjective histories, using assemblage to bring together found images, archival photos, poetry, spoken word, music and rhythm, layering these composites into new and powerful moving-image works. The event provided a chance to view and discuss his new work-inprogress that he had been developing through the course of his year-long Fellowship with Cavendish Arts Science. This type of partnership helps to bridge the gap between the University and the wider community.
